Our first snow of the season. It's ridiculous how much I love it.

My cozy little corner of the world. Quite possibly my favorite place ever.

We took a walk in the neighborhood last night to admire the lights. It was cold and crisp and the air felt clean. I'm not sure how to describe it other than that. It was the perfect ending to the day. Justin's the best company a person could have. Good conversation but more than willing to just be silent if that's what I need. The last few days have been very relaxing. Just living and breathing. Not worrying about what's coming ahead. Just focused on right now.

I bought myself a journal yesterday. I'm eagerly anticipating filling it. I'm thinking I'll put my poems in it. One per page. There are 190 pages. It'll be a long time until it is completely filled. I'm very much looking forward to the process of filling it.

Today was good. I finished my finals and ran errands. Then Justin came home, gave me a backrub and told me I was very cute. I was too relaxed to move. He cooked dinner. Scallops in alfredo sauce. Definitely one of my favorites. I surfed the internet and read the news. I love him.

As much as I complain about winter, I love my scarves.
It's amazing how much a new haircut can improve your outlook on life. I'm loving this new perspective. This morning was a lovely, slow morning. Ended up getting Justin out the door an hour late but it was worth it. So much to get done today. I can't wait to see Justin tonight.

Wintertime is definitely a season of staying home and relaxing. I am eagerly anticipating many more nights of this ilk. It's nice not to have to DO something all the time.

I scrubbed my fish bowl this morning. It looks a thousand times better. I'm full of ideas for what I could do with it. Maybe some Christmas lights.
