Joining up with Heather from Beauty That Moves to share photos from my kitchen this week.
A sampling of photos celebrating real foods and all the work, and fun, that happens in the kitchen everyday.

- Catching up on the kitchen and Call the Midwife at the same time.
- Flowers from the little nephews.
- Using my crockpot for once to make one of my favourites recipes, chicken tacos.
- Tweaking my yogurt technique based on the advice in this book. I think it was a success.
Crockpots are awesome. Even more so in the summertime so you don't have to heat up the entire kitchen. Glad your yogurt turned out well!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Me too! You never know what's going to happen when you experiment :-)
DeleteLovely flowers everywhere! And I've been in doubt whether to buy a crockpot or not (it's not widely used here in Belgium). I'm afraid it would be just another appliance taking up valuable space (bread maker anyone?), but the things you could do with it...
ReplyDeleteI don't use my crockpot very often although I know lots of people use it really frequently. I just find that since I'm only cooking for two people my crockpot is larger than I need. It's easier to just throw soups and stews in a smaller pot on the stove.
DeleteI love how your pictures this week capture the ordinary beauty of our lives in our kitchens...that, when we pay attention to it, becomes extraordinary!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteLove your kitchen pictures.. your flowers are lovely and chicken tacos sound great..
ReplyDeleteI love the flowers. I'm so glad that it's spring! The chicken tacos are always delicious and super simple. It's just two pounds of chicken thighs, two cans of tomatoes with green chilies, and a package of taco seasoning. Throw all that in the crockpot and cook on low for 7-9 hours. And that's it!
DeleteOh I love a good crock pot dish! Now the weather's cooling, I must pull the crock pot out a bit more :)
ReplyDeleteMe too! I just have so few at the moment. Any favourites?
DeleteOur crockpot gets used few times a week. I love cooking with it. Such pretty flowers. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteYou must have tons of delicious crockpot recipes then. I don't have very many at all. I need to go looking for some more. The flowers were lovely. My yard is full of the dandelions and I'm loving them!
DeleteI love my crockpot! We got it when we got married (almost 25 years ago) and it's still going strong.
ReplyDeleteWow! Congrats on 25 years of marriage! It's awesome that your crockpot has lasted that long too :-)
