Whole30: Day 6

Italian meatballs and meat sauce

Food:

Meal 1/Brunch: leftover beef and mushroom soup and frozen veggies
This meal didn't improve after its time in the fridge. Honestly, it smells like ravioli out of a can. Yuck. At least it doesn't taste as bad as it smells. It's just super bland and boring. Definitely not a repeat meal.

Lunch: Salad, fruit, deviled egg, and plain hamburger
This was our Easter meal with Justin's family. We took the salad and deviled eggs. I have no idea what all went into the deviled eggs other than out homemade mayo. (!) Justin just threw things in, tasting as he went along. He's really good at that and they turned out super well. I was a fan.

Snack: Turkey Jerky
Justin's turkey jerky is still awesome even after it's fully cooled. I'm a big fan of it. It's soft and chewy and has a great flavor. We'll definitely be making this again. But next time we'll make two batches so that Justin can make his spicy.

Supper: Italian meatballs in meat sauce with a salad
This was a super good meal. The sauce was amazing! We both liked it so well that we're talking about making it as our normal spaghetti sauce. I liked the pork sausage in it as well. The meat balls were only okay though. They weren't near as good as our normal recipe but they worked alright. I'll be looking forward to making out meatball recipe again sometime soon.

Thoughts:
Unfortunately, I had a killer headache most of the day. So much so that it made me really nauseous for a little while. I'm leaning more and more towards thinking that my headaches are triggered by screens; computer or phone. I woke up feeling great but after about 45 minutes of reading things on my phone, my head was killing me and it never went away after that. I tried drinking a lot of water and keeping my eyes closed for a while but those didn't work either. It did start to feel better as the day wore on and was mostly better by the time I went to bed. So I'll have to keep pondering it.

Random:
We had a nice Easter/Birthdays with Justin's family. Justin's mom and one of his brothers have birthdays in March so we celebrated th as well as celebrating Easter. It was a very relaxed afternoon which was good since my head was hurting so much. Other than that we just layed low at home for the rest of the evening. It was lovely.
